Here’s a few photos from my recent shoot with GlaxoSmithKline. We needed a lot of gear for this one as there were several different setups required. On top of that tight schedules of the people being photographed meant we had to leave our first setup as is, while we went to shoot other people within the grounds, then back to our original setup. It was a busy day but we achieved a lot so I was happy. In total we had 8 flash units, 11 stands and countless cases of gear. Our poor little hire car probably didn’t know what had happened to it!
First we setup a full studio onsite:

Then we took quite a few photos of different people on white seamless. Here’s Ian, a rather important chap at GSK but very down to earth and an absolute pleasure to work with.

Proofing the images with the client:

The super happy woman hiding in the shot behind me? That’s Carol. I roped her in to help me make my subjects laugh. She was awesome!

Onto the meeting room shots that will be used for brochure/PR use. I wanted a natural look to these images but also didn’t want them to be flat and boring. Ended up using two flash units on very low power, just to add some definition and boost the ambient light in the scene.

And of course you can’t go to one of the worlds biggest pharmaceutical companies without getting a few obligatory lab shots

Thanks GSK. Look forward to working with you guys again soon.
Cheers,
Damian
